Winding River Golf Course

Love the course, played here several times over the past 4 years but will probably not play here again due to the guy at the club house checking you in for tee times. He had a problem with it showing me as a senior in the computer even though I’m not, instead of him just fixing it he acted like it was somehow my fault and giving me an attitude about it. One of my friends that has never been there was trying to pay with cash and the guy had an issue with him paying cash and then told my friend “pay me” and gave him a shitty look, my friend then told him “I don’t know how much it costs you didn’t tell me” he acted like we killed his dog and it was a big issue for wanting to know how much cash to give him. Starting out a round of golf in a shitty mood because of the employee is not a good way to get people to come back.

Yelled at and talked down to by a jagoff staff member on a power trip who approached our group aggressively right off the bat. If he’d been even 1% respectful I might chalk it up to a bad day, but this guy has some obvious deeply-rooted personal issues he projects onto customers. If it was my business and I saw people being talked to that way by an employee, they’d be gone. Left immediately after our interaction without finishing and will never golf here again. Wouldn’t wish a day at this course on my worst enemy. Yikes. 😬

I have been here a few times, went this past Saturday weather was beautiful, course was kind of saturated but it had just rained like crazy last night. Greens were in beautiful conditions. Course was fun and quite a nice challenge. Back nine is pretty scenic. Staff was friendly and helpful. Golf carts have some pep in them.

solid course but it's ALWAYS backed up. nothing new to add to the comments here. going to be waiting 15 mins between each shot. if they changed this its 4-5 stars

Just played here for the first time in a couple years today, course was in great condition in my opinion. Well maintained fairways, and the greens were rolling great, like glass. However the pace of play is something that needs to be addressed. I know I’m probably the 1000th person to say it but it’s worth mentioning in case the owner would like a better experience for the golfers. Please consider spacing tee times at least 10-15 minutes apart. It should never take 5 hours to play 18 holes.
